In this 60-minute session in collaboration between the SSO and the ASTS, we will focus on the intersection of oncology and transplant surgery. Complex cases of colorectal liver metastases and cholangiocarcinoma will be reviewed with experts in hepatobiliary surgical oncology and transplant surgery to explore the role of liver transplant as a therapeutic option. This activity will provide a comprehensive review of therapeutic strategies for unresectable diseases, including systemic therapy, liver-directed therapy, and transplantation, evaluating their efficacy and appropriateness for different clinical scenarios. Real-world cases will be presented and discussed, highlighting the decision-making process and outcomes of various treatment options. Attendees will have the opportunity to engage with the panelists, ask questions, and gain insights into the latest advancements and challenges in the treatment of liver metastases and colon carcinoma.
