Virtual Tumor Board: Endocrine/Head and Neck Diseases and COVID-19

Activity Description

This virtual tumor board discussion will include:

Discussion about current state and recovery from COVID-19
Discussion of ethics and surgical triage in the time of COVID-19

The following cases will be discussed:

Patient with papillary thyroid carcinoma with potential extrathyroidal extension.
Patient with sinonasal intestinal type adenocarcinoma with anterior skull base invation.

The moderators for this virtual tumor board are Patricia Cronin, MD, Mayo Clinic, and Saurin Popat, MD, MBA, Erie County Medical Center. Panelists include: ethicist/plastic surgeon Chad Teven, MD, Mayo Clinic; surgical oncologist Tracy Wang, MD, MPH, Medical College of Wisconsin; and medical endocrinologist Mabel Ryder, MD, Mayo Clinic.
