There’s no time like the present for Fellows to engage in planning for their next career steps, whether in an academic, community or private practice setting. This one-hour webinar will be an engaging discussion with Dr. Charles Balch, Founding and Emeritus Editor, Annals of Surgical Oncology, Professor of Surgery, MD Anderson Cancer Center, and Dr. Margo Shoup, President, Orlando Health Cancer Institute. Dr. Sean Dineen, Chair of the SSO CGSO Fellowship Program Directors Committee will moderate the session. 

Among the timely topics to be discussed: 

  • Contracts: What is negotiable and what is worth negotiating? 

  • Common contract pitfalls for new graduates 

  • When is the right time to start looking for positions during Fellowship? 

  • How specific should a candidate be when describing their ideal job? 

  • What actions can Fellows take to bolster their CV while in training?
